Simply, connecting to Athaliah has been life changing.
I have spent most of my life feeling different to people around me. I was aware that I thought and saw things differently to the people around me. I saw hope and kindness when often those around me didn’t. I also spent a lot of time feeling lost, unsure, feeling unworthy, unseen and feeling that I was failing my parents and in life generally. I struggled at school, because of some early life disruption. As a teenager, I was deeply unhappy and gained lots of weight as I became addicted to chocolate and over ate regularly. The thing is I didn’t know what I was unhappy about. I just knew that I was unhappy. Eating chocolate gave me the Dopamine boost I needed. I felt invisible a lot of the time. My boundaries were non-existent. I would put 110% into friendships and then was upset when it wasn’t reciprocated. In essence, I was unhappy, had poor boundaries and didn’t love myself or my life. And through it all I had this yearning for someone who was missing. I was convinced I must have been a twin in utero because it was such a strong sense of missing someone.
In my twenties I embarked on, what I now realise, is a life long healing journey. As part of that journey I learned Usui Reiki. That was the first time I consciously was aware of my guides and one in particular who showed up during client treatments. I didn’t know this guide’s name or how they helped me. But I recognised their energy and the nudges they sent me. I began to realise that some of the things, I told clients, post treatment of what I had “seen” or felt were things I couldn’t possibly know. It was like I had an ability to go right to the heart of the problem.
My clients felt better and I began to notice a pattern of anxiety where I could help them overcome long standing health problems. I worked with clients who had diagnoses for cancer, Parkinson’s Disease, Motor Neurone Disease, Infertility, PTSD, relationship issues, IBS, Restless Leg Syndrome and Chronic Fatigue syndrome to name just a few. As I helped them overcome their anxiety, many of their other issues began to heal too. I focused on this work for about 25 years working with charities as well as individuals. But I had begun to get bored and could feel that old yearning coming back. The yearning for more and something or someone was missing.
In 2019, via my then mentors, I consciously connected to Athaliah and that feeling of yearning disappeared. It was like a lightbulb went off in my head…here was my missing person. And the joy I felt, about having this constant companion was indescribable. I had someone who listened patiently, who sent me signs that she was with me. We have a song – it’s called Symphony by Clean Bandit – that plays, to this day, whenever I am in need of comfort. I hear the first couple of notes and remember I am not alone. This is such a powerful feeling and lifts me out of my doldrums instantly.
There is someone who sees me, loves me and wants me.
Has it always been easy – no! I’m human and I have shouted mentally at her about some of the things I have experienced. And asked repeatedly, why did this have to happen or that. She has patiently and lovingly let me rage and when I have finished, has shown me why something happened and what I was supposed to learn from it: a perspective of Love, of being Loving to myself, of knowing my inherent worthiness. But the last 6 years of being consciously connected have been the best 6 years of my life, energetically speaking. I have gone further and faster in my healing journey than I thought possible. I feel like I’m tacking the last major thing on my list which is my weight. I have achieved more than I thought by becoming a published author in 2024. I continue to build on these foundations all the while knowing that I am not alone.
